This morning in Portarlington . . . . by the end of the weekend I was tired and I just gave the orders ! More to follow
After the Totalsports terra firma race at the weekend (ill admit I felt terrible and a little alien getting back to racing)we started some filming for i-am-specialized this morning.
Meanwhile ‘the Pack’ continues to build for 2010 in the Wicklow mountains . . . . gottalovethatshit
TriCamps 2010 - see you at the airport
Joining Lynne Algar in Tri Camps 2010 will be Adam Kelly - Sports Scientist, Lifecoach, Triathlete and Coach. His addition adds to the knowledge base of the team as Tricamps 2010 caters for athletes of every ability, from triathlon virgins to elites.
I am delighted to welcome Lynne Algar to Tri Camps 2010 !!
Currently an Exercise Physiology postgraduate researcher at the University of Limerick, Lynne specialises in recovery strategies for athletes.
On the day in Monte Gordo when we did our Cafe reccie (my favourite was in Vila Real de San Antonio - my Americano was stronger than strong and my Chocolate Eclair and half of Tony’s hit various spots) I suggested that the first camp should be early in the new year . . .
Why ????

You may have read the end of season reports from ‘the Pack’ - That was 2009 and now I’m looking forward to 2010.
“ A win in the Rock duathlon and a second in Valentia (eventhough I was freezing my nuts off and couldnt get my shoes on in T2) wass probably the best start I could have asked for . . .

This was my 1st time being coached for triathlon and the main aim for me and the group was to improve and try to be more competitive in the national series. I had meet Gavin in Spain April 2008 as I was sent over by Triathlon Ireland to treat him (ed - physcially and metally!)
IRISH CHAMPIONS - WICKLOW TRI !!!

I have fond memories of my trip to Kenmare a few years ago - a great race at the Lost Sheep, amazing scenery, a beautiful town, some seal watching, craic was good and I had the best ‘fish n chips’ in all the land, twice.
‘The Pack’ were there at the weekend

In the build up to Triathlone 2009 I am giving and taking advice
Day 3:
Look who I found in the hotel lobby - Dr Darren Smith - former Scottish National Coach and the name behind the famous Dazza 90/90 workout - 90 seconds on 90 seconds off, 60 on 60 off, 45/45, 30/30, 15/15 (some dude called Steve Monegetthi once tried to claim it was his sessions but [...]
Fraser Cartmell hit the podium in UK 70.3 - there are rumours of a ‘code brown’ which I am sure will be cleaned up in his race report in the coming days.
Other triathlon team warriors were in action too
