Atlantic Crossing – Mike Jones
February 15th, 2010 by Gavin
If you think your winter training is tough . . . think again. How about a 40-50 day block of 12hrs per day ??
That is Irish Triathlete Mike Jones’ current schedule, breaking for the odd 2hr nap as he crosses the Atlantic Ocean.
Mike from Cobh County Cork is aboard ‘Sara G’ with 6 other rowers. At the moment he and the crew are just over the half way mark in their journey. You can follow
the team on www.atlantic5000.com and also on twitter . . .
The website and blogs have been insightful and inspiring . . . . good days and bad days, fast and sometimes slow
Day after day,day after day,
We stuck,Nor breath nor Motion
As idle as a painted Ship,
Upon a painted Ocean.
Hard work, persistence and a strong mind above all else lads !
