Running – learn to suffer

Running hard hurts. Running hard 4 times in a week hurts. Running hard 4 times in a week as a triathlete makes swimming and biking hurt ….

Theres a fine line in Triathlon training – what you did yesterday and the day before effects today and what you did today effects tomorrow . . . . its coming to the end of the week and I am starting to suffer a bit. Im working on a 10 day cycle at the moment and I am having to prioritise. 

Whats the most important session of the day ? what do I need to do in this session to get the most out of it but at the same time not take away from this afternoons session ?  Have I eaten enough to recover ? Have I eaten too much ? Is my equipment ready ? –  these are the questions.

These are the questions that need answered before the next big session comes around. If and when that session goes well, why not celebrate it
