Sports Psychology - Mr Voice was in the Hulkster

I was a little disappointed by cyclists today in my surf around the net - “I do get phone calls from cyclists in the middle of the night,” laughs Peters. “But at the end of the day, that’s what I’m here for. I can catch my sleep up some other time.”
I know that if I phoned Die Taai Er in the middle of the night his responce would be
“you know what time it is !? thats right, time you toughened up”
English Cricketer Ian Botham once said “I didn’t realise that some guys needed to be told how good they were. I still don’t understand that. Sports psychology, what’s that all about? It’s the biggest con of all time, people making a lot of money talking bullshit”
I am sort of erring on Bothams side but then maybe I don’t know enough about it. I am still a little disappointed big Chris was feeling insecure and irrational on the line and needed some dude telling him not to listen to the Chimp.
I know my hero Hulk Hogan didn’t have a Sport physc telling him to concentrate, not to worry about Andre The Giant !- oh NO, he new he had beaten all the contenders to be number one - he couldn’t afford to be crapping himself in his Yellow Pants in front of me and the other Hulkamaniacs. Even if he had been seeing a psychologist on the side he definately wouldn’t have publicised it.
If your getting a sports psyc in does it mean you have no trust in the team around you ?
Are you doubting your training ? your equipment ?
The Chimp needs to have his trap shut out on the road, on the trails or in the gym. The Chimp needs to be left behind.
Instead Mr Voice needs to come in and tell you to “Man Up“ in fact “MTFU!”
Mr Voice was in the Hulkster, he’s in you too . . .
Do you know what I mean ?
or do I need to see someone because I talk a load of sh1t ?
