SWIM ATHY 2009
May 22nd, 2009 by Gavin

Maybe I should keep my opinions to myself or at least between myself and “shadow” – but last night during the BBC News I said to Maccers
“surely not Maccers !! surely the British can’t do that ?!”
99% of the time I’m a nice guy but theres a 1% prick in most of us (although at the last count I had 10).
Last night I ‘got my prick on’ when it was announced that British Cycling are using former Olympic Gold medalist Jason Queally on the tandem in the Paralympics . . .
“surely not Maccers ?”
Maccers sat there hoping an add for a Charity didn’t come on . . . don’t get me started. I went to place a bet this morning and I was told that unless the Belgian’s bring back Merckx all bets are off.
Anyway moving swiftly along . . .
I am going to an airport on Saturday without my bike – a new and somewhat exciting prospect. I will be able to stand in the qeue and not worry about excess charges and which check-in person I get. I won’t have to try and get in the que with the Gay dude checking the baggage on and then falsely flirt with him – ( my top 2 sidetrack lines being ”I like your watch” or “have you been away on holiday, you have a great colour” ). It will just be carry-on for me this time, I don’t want any pointless chat, give me my ticket and stay off the sun beds . . . . .
I am heading back to Dublin for SWIM ATHY which takes place on Sunday morning.
There are 2 open water swims and at 13.30 Ill be having a SWIM MASTER CLASS in conjunction with Blueseventy – you can try before you buy !
In fact, a lot of my Master Class may involve telling people who aren’t wearing a Blueseventy wetsuit that everything would be easier if they had one.
Only joking !
But seriously
you need 1 in your life
