The ‘Runway’ – it doesn’t build character, it reveals it
I looked forward to the ‘bocadillo ride’ for a few days. Now our Friday tradition of a 90min recovery ride which ends on the seafront for a bocadillo and cafe solo. A combination of an increase in volume, a mosquito (deceased) and 2 passionate neighbours had made me tired by the end of the week.
Before the cancelled flight, the hire car, the hotel, the 2 new flights, the taxi and the bus – Belgian Triathlete Peter Croes came to stay in our Spanish home.
“On Monday evening Irish Triathlete Gavin Noble set a new ‘LOOP RECORD’ in the Spanish fields. Pleased with his effort he commented “I didn’t go out with the intention of setting a record but half way around I was feeling good and so pushed on. I am happy with the effort”.
It has been a long week. One that began in South Africa and ended in Spain by way of Dublin, Enniskillen and Limerick. The week that was :
